Moving on to Frozen Pastures
We do not usually address personal issues on our blog but since I’ve been responsible for many of the posts on here I thought I’d take a minute to address my impending move. I will be relocating to Chicago this weekend and taking on a new position with a different company. This isn’t to say I’m going to be out of touch with Matchbox and I may retain some involvement in the company.
It’s funny how these things happen. In January I had the idea in my head that I wanted to move to Chicago despite their complete and total lack of quality National League baseball. On a personal level I’m looking to gain more diverse experience and specialization and I think I’ve found an opportunity to do so.
I’ve learned a lot at Matchbox and am grateful for the opportunity. Brent and Cullen have been great to learn from and have always been willing to do what it takes to grow and provide the best product possible for their clients. Every job has headaches and I believe many of ours come from a passion for what we do. I think I’ve made my mark and had more than my share of input while I was here…hopefully for the better. I want to thank them and everyone at Matchbox for making the last two years great.
I’m looking forward to working together with Matchbox in the future leveraging my specialties to help them accomplish their goals but for now I’m excited to make my move and get right back to work on Monday. I have a feeling my couch is going to be heavily utilized in the near future, hopefully I get some Cardinals/Cubs tickets out of it at the very least (hint hint).
