Saint Louis Community Credit Union Website

St. Louis Community Credit Union is a progressive, full-service financial institution with an outstanding selection of savings and investment products, loans and convenience services.

Challenge: The old St. Louis Community Credit Union website was difficult to navigate and needed to be updated to match their new branding. Matchbox was assigned the task of not only improving the look of their website, but also redesigning the way users navigate the website to get information.

Navigation
St. Louis Community Credit Union’s website contains over 100 pages of information. We have developed three ways to sort through the information so visitors can find what they are looking for with minimal effort.

Extended Drop-Down Navigation:

The old website didn’t have a drop-down menu which required the user to dig through pages of content to find what they wanted. We solved this problem by developing two-three column drop-down menu so the user can find what they want right from the main navigation bar.

“I want to” and “Tell me more about” Drop-Down Menus:

We developed a menu from the most common pages requested by visitors. This makes the website experience more effective and quick.

Website Search Bar:

We placed the search bar within a red container to make it more easy to spot on the page. We want visitors to search for what they want so we can recommend pages they would also be interested in based on their keyword search.

Matchbox’s New Logo Featured on imjustcreative.com

There is no greater compliment than when a fellow designer features your work.

We’ve been busy rebranding as part of our third anniversary and its nice to see that work paying off.Graham Smith of imjustcreative featured our new design on his August 14th Logo Design RoundUp blog.We know, maybe we should have seen this sooner but we did say we’ve been busy didn’t we?Expect to see our new website rolled out very soon, we can hardly contain our excitement.

Matchbox Design Group has gone from a small business run out of an apartment to a fully integrated firm with multiple employees and a fine office. To celebrate its’ third birthday this logo was created as a step in the process to rebrand the company. Matchbox wanted to evoke an edgy feel so the old logo, a photograph of a matchbox with the type layered over, was transformed into a fully illustrated vector logo.

The goal was to create a simplistic representation of a matchbox using basic lines. The illustration style was inspired by the simplistic designs found on safety signage. This illustrated logo is used on company apparel, marketing pieces, office signage, as well as in our company emails and other collateral. The typeface is Gasserine, the companies’ custom typeface, which was inspired by Franklin Gothic Demi Condensed.

The new Matchbox Design Group logo is just one element in the rebranding of our company. A fresh website, marketing pieces, as well as new company apparel are in the process of being created to really push our newly refreshed identity.”
