In 2010, Matchbox Design Group teamed up with Blick & Staff Communications to pioneer the Energizer® social media presence by developing several Facebook marketing campaigns to engage users to become fans and interact with Energizer® and the Energizer Bunny®. Here is the compilation of our Social Media work for Energizer® throughout the year.

Energizer Komen 3-Day for the Cure® Facebook Tab

Hop on Facebook and check out the Energizer® Komen 3-Day for the Cure® Facebook tab! Matchbox just finished the custom tab for Energizer®. Not only will Energizer® donate $1 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® for every new Energizer Bunny® Facebook fan they get (up to $15,000), but they will also have a Keep Going® blogger to represent each city. The custom Facebook tab Matchbox developed has many innovative features.
Komen Facebook Tab
The custom Facebook tab is a hub of information:
- It highlights each cities’ Keep Going Blogger
- It provides the 2010 Race Schedule and links to each cities Facebook event
- It showcases Komen 3-Day for the Cure videos
- It allows Facebook users to post custom messages and images on their wall
- It a advertises the Energizer Virtual Ribbon Tree on the Energizer Komen microsite.


Facebook Tab “Like” Page
When a new Facebook user comes to the tab they will be greeted with a branded message promoting the donation Energizer® will make to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® for every new Energizer Bunny® fan they get. To achieve higher analytical data and more facebook users likes we used a facebook function that updates the content from our inital branded message to the main content after the user likes the page.

Race Countdown
This module counts down the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the next race and allows Facebook users to R.S.V.P for the event.

Facebook Share Button
This button encourages Facebook users to Share the Energizer Bunny® Facebook page on his or hers wall because for every person who “Likes” the page a donation will be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.

View the Photos Image
This graphic links Facebook users to the Komen 3-Day for the Cure® Images tabs so users can view photos from the different races.

Keep Going® Bloggers
The Keep Going® Bloggers module introduces the user to each cities blogger. From this module users can see a photo of the blogger and visit their website.

2010 Race Schedule
This module provides the user with the 2010 Race Schedule and links them to each cities’ Facebook event page to R.S.V.P. After the race has finished it then links the users to view the photos from the event.

Komen Video
This module showcases Komen 3-Day for the Cure® videos via a YouTube player.
Share Your Support
This module allows Facebook users to post a custom message and image to their wall about the Komen 3-Day for the Cure® races.
Virtual Ribbon Tree
This module links Facebook users to the Energizer® Komen microsite where they can show their support with their very own personalized ribbon message.
Energizer Komen Updates on Facebook
The Energizer Bunny has recharged its commitment to the Komen 3 Day Races with an update to his Facebook page.MDG re-launched the Komen tab this week with a new look and greater usability.Check back each week for photo updates as the hare races across America.Hop on to Facebook and check it out at www.facebook.com/energizerbunny!
